happy 2012
My journey across these United States is now complete. done. finito. It was an amazing trip; one full to bursting of excitement, boredom, challenge, beautiful sights, weird social experiences… What a bizarre and diverse mix of …stuff. And I know I’ll count this as one of the defining experiences of my life.
I’m loathe to end this [tum]blog, and instead, repurpose it as a place to post stuff from random trips, outings, excursions… taken in the ‘Runner. Proximity to amazing places and the convenience of GTFO [‘getting the fuck out’, for those who don’t speak internet] played a big part in my decision to move out here to San Francisco - and i’d be a damned fool not to take full advantage.
So look forward to MOAR weird, silly, road-weary, and awesome [as in, awe-struck with nature and shit] posts in the future.
It’s been real. And it will be real.
walked through the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on a good 6 hour walking tour (thanks Julie!) of [you guessed it] Santa Cruz. as i first saw the amusement park i stopped dead in my tracks and said “wait, isn’t that the one from the Lost Boys?” man, i loved that movie.
that led me to wondering where the bridge scene was filmed. INTERNET TO THE RESCUE! came across what appears to be a good write-up on the locations. and of course, i had to find it.

might have to get down there (with a bag full of garlic and wooden spikes, of course) at some point, just for kicks. the nerdery knows no bounds.
me: just realized i haven't written a line of code in a week and a half
